Who is responsible

What we collect

When you use the contact form, or write to us by email or WhatsApp, we collect your first name, your business name, your contact details (email or WhatsApp number) and your message.

On the form, the first name, contact details and message are required: without them we cannot reply. The business name is optional. When you send the form, the form service also receives your IP address, used only to filter spam.

Why

Only to answer your request and, if you become a client, to prepare and carry out your project and to invoice it. We process this data to take the steps you ask for before a contract, to perform the contract, and to meet our accounting and tax obligations. No decision about you is made automatically.

How long

• Requests that do not lead to a project: up to 3 years.
• Client data: for as long as the business relationship lasts, then for the period required by accounting and tax law.

Who sees it

Only Quartz, and the technical providers that run the site and our messages:

• Vercel Inc. (United States): hosting of the site and audience measurement;
• Web3Forms (operated from India, on Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare): delivery of the contact form to our mailbox, with a spam check (CleanTalk, Akismet) on your IP address and email;
• Zoho (United States data centre): our email;
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you write to us there.

We do not sell or share your data for commercial purposes.

Transfers outside Mauritius

These providers process data outside Mauritius, in particular in the United States and India, countries whose level of protection may differ from that of Mauritius. These transfers are needed to answer the request you send us and to carry out the project you ask for. Each provider protects the data under its own terms and data protection commitments, with encryption in transit.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act 2017 of Mauritius, you may access your data, correct or complete it, have it erased, or ask us to restrict its use. You may also object at any time to its use. Write to mathieu@quartz.mu.

You may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner (Data Protection Office, dataprotection.govmu.org).

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. It uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits anonymously: the page viewed, the referring site, the country, the type of device and browser, and clicks on contact buttons and external links. Visits are counted from a hash of the request, discarded after 24 hours, without identifying you.

If you change the theme, the currency or the language, that choice is kept in your browser only. It is never sent to us.
